Our Story

Tommy’s Pantry emerged in March 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by a collective effort of leaders and volunteers dedicated to food relief in local schools. Named after Tommy Raskin, the organization embodies his belief in human dignity, focusing on supporting families in lower Montgomery County, MD.

Impact

Each month, Tommy’s Pantry distributes 300 shelf-stable food boxes, 325 wellness boxes, and 160 fresh produce boxes, serving over 325 households facing hardship. This year, the goal is to reach 11,340 households, showcasing a significant community impact.
