Founded in 1987 by Dr. James King and Lee Aliakbar, the Toledo Celtics Soccer Club has grown from a focus on high school-aged teams to a comprehensive youth program. With the establishment of the Toledo Leprechauns recreational soccer program in 1995, the club has become a cornerstone of the Toledo soccer community, nurturing talent for over 33 years.
The Toledo Celtics have significantly contributed to youth soccer development in the Toledo area, achieving 10 Ohio North State Cup Championships and participating in prestigious tournaments like the Dallas Cup and Gothia Cup. Many players have advanced to collegiate and professional levels, enhancing the region's soccer landscape.
