Our Story

The Toledo Area Polka Society was founded in 1982 by passionate polka enthusiasts in Oregon, Ohio. This vibrant community came together to foster a love for polka dancing, promote fellowship among music fans, and secure renowned talent in the polka music industry. Officially formed in 1983, TAPS operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to charitable purposes, supporting live polka music and encouraging participation in social events.

Impact

TAPS continues to fulfill its mission by hosting dances throughout the year, organizing bus trips to exciting out-of-town events, and presenting the Annual Polish Summer Picnic. Members actively engage with other organizations, providing support through donations, advertisements, and volunteer efforts.
