Our Story

In February 2018, during a transformative safari in the Serengeti Plain of Tanzania, Winona Perry, the president of Tloma Giving, visited the children of Tloma Primary School. This visit ignited a passion for supporting the local community. Returning four months later, Winona immersed herself in village life, forming deep connections with the children and their families. Witnessing their challenges firsthand inspired her to create a nonprofit dedicated to fostering health, education, and economic development in the underserved Tloma region of the Karatu District, Arusha, Tanzania.
