Our Story
The Tiverton Land Trust was founded in 1996 by a dedicated group of residents committed to preserving the future of farming in Tiverton. In response to the threat of development on a large farm, which could have led to the construction of numerous homes, the Trust mobilized community support and funding to purchase the land, now known as the Pardon Gray Preserve. Since then, the organization has successfully preserved over 690 acres of rural land, focusing on agricultural lands, wildlife habitats, and scenic vistas.
Impact
Since its inception, the Tiverton Land Trust has made significant strides in land conservation, preserving over 690 acres that contribute to the ecological health and rural character of the region. The Trust's efforts have ensured that local agriculture and wildlife habitats are protected for future generations.
