Our Story

Founded in 2023 by a dedicated team of four women from South Carolina, Time Served is a nonprofit legal aid organization committed to providing direct legal services to currently and formerly incarcerated individuals. With decades of combined experience in the criminal legal system, the organization believes in a world where those impacted by mass incarceration can achieve a fresh start, free from the stigma of criminal records.

Our Impact

Time Served aims to replace despair with hope by offering free legal services that help individuals overcome barriers related to their criminal records. The focus is on dismantling extreme sentencing and supporting vulnerable populations affected by trauma and injustice.
