Fierce and determined, the legacy of the "Tiger" name began in 1962 in South New Jersey. Newman Lewis Sr. faced a challenging start to life, unable to go home from the hospital as a newborn. Years later, his son, Newman Lewis, transformed this nickname into a powerful mission to uplift the community in Philadelphia. Overcoming his own adversities, Newman became a licensed electrician and now dedicates his life to helping others achieve their dreams through trade education at Tiger Electrical Academy.
