Our Story
The Tibetan Aid Project was founded in 1969 by Tarthang Rinpoche to preserve and promote Tibetan culture and spiritual heritage. In response to the cultural devastation following the 1959 invasion of Tibet, the organization works tirelessly to rebuild and strengthen the cultural identity of the Tibetan people.
Impact
To date, the Tibetan Aid Project has donated over 5.5 million sacred texts, 176,250 prayer wheels, and over 4 million sacred art prints to Tibetans in exile, fostering education and cultural preservation across the Himalayan region.
