Thunder Mountain Farms Equine Rescue is dedicated to saving slaughter-bound horses that still have much to offer. These horses, often top-grade 'fats', are at risk of being sent to slaughter for human consumption in Japan and Europe. The feedlot kill-pen we primarily rescue from has contracts with stock contractors and breeding farms, preying on horses in difficult situations. Our mission is to rehabilitate and place these magnificent animals into loving forever homes.
Since inception, Thunder Mountain Farms Equine Rescue has rescued and supported hundreds of horses, providing them with the care and rehabilitation they need to thrive.
