Our Story

Founded in 2003 by Dr. Linda Coy, the Three Rivers Education Foundation addresses critical gaps in teacher preparation. Named for the cultural confluence in the Southwest, this foundation bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application in education. Since achieving nonprofit status in 2008, it has made significant strides in enhancing educational practices across New Mexico, southern Colorado, Arizona, and El Paso, Texas. By focusing on the unique needs of rural, marginalized, and minority communities, the foundation promotes teacher empowerment and community development.

Impact

Three Rivers Education Foundation is dedicated to improving education in the Southwest United States through research, grants, community reading programs, and GED assistance for migrant workers.

Why Donate?

By helping migrant workers obtain their GED, the foundation empowers them to pursue better job opportunities. Personalized tutoring, study materials, and flexible class schedules make a significant difference in the lives of students and their families.
