Our Story
Hockey in Clayton has a proud and rich heritage, dating back to the late 1960s when multi-age teams began playing the game. With no indoor ice available, early morning trips across the border to Gananoque or down the river to Alexandria Bay became a routine. In March 1973, town leaders officially formed the Clayton Minor Hockey Association, leading to the opening of the Clayton Arena in February 1975. The association evolved, becoming Thousand Islands Youth Hockey in 1987, reflecting its growth and the addition of a Varsity Hockey team.
