Our Story

Born to Laurian and John Scott, Thisbe and Noah were the light of their parents’ lives. Though taken too soon, their legacy lives on through the Thisbe & Noah Foundation, established to honor their lives and help others facing similar challenges. Thisbe was diagnosed with Brown-Vialetto-Van Laere syndrome in 2005, leading to her tragic passing in 2007. Shortly after, her brother Noah was diagnosed with the same condition and passed away in 2008.

Impact

Thanks to the Foundation that bears their names, if Thisbe and Noah had been born today, they would live healthy, active lives. The gene for their BVVL syndrome mutation has been identified, and a respective therapeutic discovered, benefiting dozens of other families worldwide. Thisbe & Noah has enriched the landscape for countless children with similar neurological diseases and/or disabilities through research, outreach grants, and initiatives like Promise Park.

Why Donate?

Donating to Thisbe & Noah supports vital research and outreach for children with neurological diseases, ensuring that no child suffers in silence and that families receive the help they need. Contributions help fund initiatives like Promise Park, which promotes inclusion and empathy among children of all abilities, and grants for families affected by neurological disabilities.
