Our Story
In 2005, Stephanie, a breast cancer survivor, recognized the critical need for awareness about the BRCA gene mutation. After her own journey through surgeries and chemotherapy, she partnered with fellow survivor Amy Seidman to establish Think Pink. Their mission was clear: educate others about the importance of genetic testing and early detection of breast cancer.
The inaugural Think Pink luncheon in Boca Raton, Florida, was a resounding success, raising funds for breast cancer charities. As the organization evolved, it rebranded to Think Pink Rocks in 2008, expanding its reach through concerts featuring renowned artists like AKON and Flo Rida, hosted by Queen Latifah. These events not only raised awareness but also generated significant funds for breast cancer research.
In 2010, Think Pink Rocks partnered with New York Road Runners, recruiting runners for the TCS New York City Marathon and the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. This initiative has raised millions for cutting-edge breast cancer research at prestigious institutions like Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan.
