Founded in 2008 by Patricia Christianson in Erie, Pennsylvania, Therapy Dogs United has grown its research-based programs and visitation services across the United States and into Canada. With a commitment to providing emotional support through therapy dog visits, TDU has never charged for its services, relying solely on donations and fundraising efforts.
