Our Story
Founded in 1972 as the Feminist Therapy Collective, the Therapy Center of Philadelphia (TCP) was established by a group of dedicated therapists committed to addressing gender and class biases in mental health. Over the years, TCP has expanded its mission to serve a diverse community, including transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, while emphasizing a feminist approach to therapy.
Impact
TCP proudly serves over 350 clients annually, utilizing a sliding fee scale to ensure that mental health care is accessible to all. With a remarkable 90% appointment show rate, TCP demonstrates the strength of its therapeutic relationships and the positive outcomes achieved for clients.
