Our Story

Founded in September 1986, Theater Works emerged from the vision of passionate theater patrons who recognized the need for a community theater in the northwest area of suburban Phoenix, Arizona. Spearheaded by David Wo, the organization quickly secured financial backing, leased a facility, and organized a dedicated board of directors. In its inaugural year, Theater Works showcased seven Main Stage productions, a high school production, and a nine-week children’s workshop. Since then, it has expanded its programs and relocated to a new permanent venue in 2007, continuing to enrich the West Valley with exceptional theater.

For over 36 years, Theater Works has provided performing arts experiences to the West Valley community, ensuring that individuals of all ages can engage with theater as audience members, performers, and participants in educational programs.
