Our Story
Inspired by the legacy of Sr. Thea Bowman, FSPA, Ph.D., the Thea Bowman Center is dedicated to fostering love and support within the Mt. Pleasant community of southeast Cleveland. Established in 1966 as a Hunger Center, it has evolved into a vital resource for families facing economic challenges, with 65% living near or below the poverty level. The center continues to honor Sr. Bowman's commitment to intercultural awareness and community empowerment, providing a safe space for individuals to thrive.
