Our Story

Founded in 1982 by sixth-grade teacher Mike Mansfield, The Young People's Center for Creative Arts was established in East Hampton, Connecticut, to fill the void left by budget cuts in local theater programs. What began with just twenty-five students has blossomed into a vibrant community of over one hundred young performers participating in summer camp productions and theater-skills classes.

Our Impact

YPCCA is dedicated to enhancing arts education and outreach in the community. While tuition covers most operating expenses, scholarship funds are essential for ensuring accessibility. Generous contributions from supporters make it possible to provide these invaluable opportunities.
