Our Story

Founded in 1983 by Beth Burns, The Wooden Floor began as a summer dance program for at-risk youth. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital organization serving 475 underserved students year-round in Santa Ana, California. The commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty through dance and access to higher education is at the heart of its mission.

Impact

Since 2005, 100% of The Wooden Floor's seniors have graduated high school on time and enrolled in higher education. With over 95,000 youth positively impacted, the organization transforms lives through the power of dance and education.
