Our Story

Founded in 2005 by Donna Hunnewell, The Wish Project began as a heartfelt initiative to assist families in need in the Lowell area. After leaving her corporate job while expecting her first child, Donna reached out to local social service agencies to identify how she could make a difference. The response was clear: there was a pressing need for basic necessities. Over the years, The Wish Project has expanded significantly, now operating from a spacious 7,500 sq. ft. facility and collaborating with over 15 social service agencies.

Impact

In 2019 alone, The Wish Project distributed an impressive 600 tons of goods to over 60,000 clients, ensuring that individuals and families could meet their basic needs and focus on improving their lives.
