About Williamsburg Youth Orchestra

Since its inception in 1995, the Williamsburg Youth Orchestra (WYO) has been a beacon of musical opportunity for students in the greater Williamsburg region. Founded by Nancy Canning and Elnore Andersen in collaboration with the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra, WYO's inaugural concert in 1996 marked the beginning of a vibrant journey under the direction of Fran Goldman. Over the years, WYO has flourished, expanding its programs and collaborations with esteemed directors such as Reed Perkins and Akiko Fujimoto.
