The Wilderness Arts and Literacy Collaborative (WALC) is an innovative academic program located in southeast San Francisco, specifically at Balboa High School and Downtown Continuation High School. Founded by teachers of color for students of color, WALC integrates environmental studies and ethnic studies to create a rich, interdisciplinary educational experience.
