The Water Trust empowers the poorest rural communities in East Africa to provide their children with clean, sustainable water and healthy, hygienic homes. Founded in 2008, the organization has trained over 1,200 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) to sustain access to clean water for more than 300,000 people.
With a mission to help over one million people in East Africa gain sustainable access to clean water by 2025, The Water Trust has already transformed the lives of more than 300,000 individuals in rural Uganda through improved water, sanitation, and hygiene.
Donations to The Water Trust directly support the construction of wells, rehabilitation of broken water points, and the establishment of savings groups that ensure long-term sustainability of water access.
