About The TransLatin@ Coalition

Founded in 2009 by a group of Transgender and Gender nonconforming and Intersex (TGI) immigrant women in Los Angeles, The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC) emerged as a grassroots response to the unique challenges faced by TGI Latin@ immigrants in the United States. Over the years, TLC has evolved into a nationally recognized organization, extending its reach across 10 states and providing vital direct services to TGI individuals in Los Angeles.

With funding from state and local governments, as well as private foundations, TLC has significantly enhanced access to essential resources and support for TGI individuals in Los Angeles County. The establishment of the Center for Violence Prevention and Transgender Wellness is a testament to TLC's commitment to improving the quality of life for the community.
