Our Story

The Telomere Project was founded in 2019 by three brothers—Erik, Matt, and Michael—who were driven by a personal tragedy. After losing their father to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a fatal telomere syndrome, they discovered that their family was affected by a telomere mutation. This revelation ignited their passion to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from telomere syndromes. Through TTP and The Thrive Tribe, they have committed to supporting critical research and fostering a community for survivors.
