Our Story

Philly House, established in 1878, is the oldest homeless mission in Pennsylvania and the second oldest in the country. It serves as a refuge for the homeless, hungry, and hurting in Philadelphia, providing shelter and meals while fostering relationships to help guests reorient their lives.

Impact

In 2023, Philly House sheltered 1,753 unique individual men experiencing homelessness, representing 30% of all homeless men sheltered in Philadelphia. The organization serves over 10,000 meals each month, providing a safe, clean refuge along with deep, intentional engagement for long-term impact.
