Our Story

The Storehouse began in 1999 as a response to food insecurity in the Covington community. Founded by Meg Holland, it was initiated after a challenge from the mayor to the local church community to address the needs of the needy. The organization unites various churches and non-profits to serve the community, starting with home deliveries to five families and expanding significantly since then.

Our Impact

In 2023, The Storehouse made 3,351 DoorDash deliveries, provided 14,894 clients with food per visit, distributed 680,471 lbs of food, and rescued 1,094,620 lbs of food, showcasing its significant impact on food insecurity in the community.
