Our Story
Founded in 1961, the Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center is the first indoor non-profit tennis club built by and for the African American community. This organization has been a beacon of hope, transforming the lives of thousands of low and moderate-income minority youth through the power of tennis and community engagement.
Impact
Serving over 5,000 young people and 1,000 adults annually, STEC provides free programs for low-income families in the Blue Hill Corridor. With a 100% on-time high school graduation rate for its scholar-athletes and 40,000 lbs. of fresh produce distributed during the pandemic, STEC is committed to enhancing community health and wellness.
