Our Story
The Spartanburg Soup Kitchen began in February 1981, initiated by compassionate members of Second Presbyterian Church who made sandwiches for a few hungry individuals. Over the years, the need for food assistance grew, leading to the establishment of a permanent mission. In 2009, the organization proudly obtained 501(c)(3) status and relocated to a new facility in 2012, continuing its vital mission of feeding the hungry in the community.
