Founded in 2008, The South Fork Conservancy is dedicated to restoring the South Fork of Peachtree Creek and connecting public green spaces through a network of trails. With initial funding from the Million Mile Greenway and The Kendeda Fund, the organization has expanded its board to include experts in various fields, engaging volunteers and partnering with local organizations to enhance community access to nature.
Through dedicated efforts, The South Fork Conservancy has successfully created five miles of restored nature trails and developed three new public parks along the North and South Forks of Peachtree Creek, significantly improving community access to greenspaces.
