Our Story

The Soulsville Charter School is a public, tuition-free charter school located in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 2005 with just sixty 6th graders, it has grown to serve over 650 students from 6th to 12th grade. The school uniquely integrates a music-rich curriculum with traditional academics, believing that musical education enhances overall learning.

Since its first graduating class in 2012, Soulsville has achieved a remarkable 100% college acceptance rate for its seniors, showcasing its commitment to preparing students for post-secondary success.
