Our Story

The Santa Barbara Choral Society, established in 1948, began with a performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah. Originally featuring 62 singers, it has grown to approximately 80 auditioned members, enriching the Santa Barbara community with a diverse repertoire of choral works, from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions.

Through its performances and educational outreach, the Santa Barbara Choral Society has made a significant impact on the cultural landscape of Santa Barbara.
