Creating Parks

About The Sandy Springs Conservancy

Established in 2001, The Sandy Springs Conservancy emerged from a grassroots initiative aimed at preserving the rapidly vanishing greenspace and recreational areas in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Before the city was officially formed, concerned citizens gathered to address the urgent need for conservation, leading to the creation of the Sandy Springs Revitalization Initiative. This initiative laid the groundwork for the Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the community's natural environment.

Impact on the Community

Since its inception, the Conservancy has successfully created 100 acres of parks, providing cherished recreational spaces for both children and adults in Sandy Springs.
