Our Story
The Samaritan Center has a rich history that began over 90 years ago with the Dorcas Society, where dedicated individuals from the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church came together to mend clothing for those affected by war, famine, and natural disasters. In 1986, the organization evolved into Adventist Community Services, and in 1996, it was renamed The Samaritan Center. Today, it employs 50 full-time staff and engages hundreds of volunteers to serve the community.
