The Russell Education Foundation was established in 1999 by ex-Miami Dolphins linebacker Twan Russell and his late mother, Corliss, a dedicated middle-school teacher. The foundation is committed to eradicating illiteracy among inner-city youth through innovative educational programs, including the Russell Reading Room and mentoring initiatives.
Since its inception, REF has positively influenced the lives of over 20,000 low-income students and their families, helping many succeed in high school and graduate from college.
