Our Story

The Roslyn Highlands Hook and Ladder, Engine and Hose Company was established in 1905 by a dedicated group of citizens in Roslyn Heights, recognizing the urgent need for fire protection in their growing community. Initially funded through community contributions and fundraising events, this all-volunteer fire department has evolved significantly over the years. Today, with 115 active members, it provides superior fire and emergency services, including emergency medical services.

For over a century, the Roslyn Highlands Fire Company has been a cornerstone of public safety, responding to major incidents such as the 9/11 attacks and Hurricane Sandy. Its commitment to community service is unwavering.
