Our Story

The Richmond Forum, founded in 1986 by Ralph Krueger, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization dedicated to fostering civic pride and engaging citizens in meaningful discussions about contemporary political, cultural, and economic issues. With roots tracing back to the 1820s lyceum movement, it has evolved into a prominent speaker series in Richmond, Virginia.

Our Impact

Since its inception, The Richmond Forum has presented over 240 distinguished speakers, engaging and educating approximately 4,500 patrons at each of its five programs every season. The organization aims to implement competitive speech and debate programs in all public middle and high schools in the Richmond region by 2025.
