Our Story

Since 1912, Tacoma Rescue Mission has been dedicated to providing help, hope, and healing to the impoverished members of the Tacoma and Pierce County community. What began as a small soup kitchen has evolved into a comprehensive support system offering emergency shelter, recovery programs, and educational support, all while emphasizing the dignity of each person served.

Impact

In the past year, Tacoma Rescue Mission served over 336,657 meals and assisted 3,690 individuals and families with life-changing resources, including 440 families transitioning into stable housing and 239 individuals obtaining jobs or increasing their income.
