Our Story
The Rainbow Connection was founded in 1985 as a heartfelt tribute to L. Brooks Patterson's friend Ron Dobson and his children, who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash. Since granting its first wish to a child at Children’s Hospital, the organization has dedicated itself to making dreams come true for children facing life-threatening illnesses.
