Our Story

The Priority Center, founded in 1983 by the Exchange Club of Newport Harbor, began as the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center. This organization was established by passionate volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children. Over the years, it has grown into a $10 million organization with 123 staff members and six impactful programs, focusing on preventing child abuse and neglect while advocating for systemic change.

Impact

In 2023, The Priority Center supported over 8,400 clients, providing more than 15,000 client sessions and conducting over 9,000 case management sessions. This demonstrates a strong commitment to transforming lives and creating better futures for vulnerable community members.
