Founded by Charles McVean, Peer Power Foundation addresses the challenges faced by Memphis’ public schools by recruiting and training high-performing college students as Success Coaches. These dedicated individuals provide tutoring and mentorship to public school students, fostering both academic success and personal growth.

Over the past 20 years, Peer Power Foundation has delivered nearly 1.5 million hours of tutoring and mentoring, resulting in an impressive average 5-year graduation rate of 83%. The program has consistently improved student performance, with a notable increase in A and B grades.
