Our Story

Founded in 1998 by Pedro Martinez, the Pedro Martinez Foundation emerged from a deep commitment to uplift children and families in the San Miguel de Manoguayabo region of the Dominican Republic. Pedro's own experiences of limited opportunities fueled his passion to create a safe haven for those in need. The foundation began with a donation of land, transforming into a vibrant community center that has served thousands.

Impacting Lives

Since launching the first program, Hay Poder en Aprender (There is Power in Learning), in 2007, the foundation has positively impacted over 100,000 children. Daily, children facing challenges such as abuse, hunger, and crime find refuge in our programs, receiving education, nutritious meals, and a sense of belonging.
