The Parodneck Foundation
EIN: 11-2229635 · New York, NY
Our Story
The Parodneck Foundation was founded by Meyer Parodneck, who experienced poverty and inadequate housing in his youth. His commitment to improving housing conditions led to the establishment of the Consumer-Farmer Milk Cooperative in 1937 and the Consumer-Farmer Foundation in 1970. In 1994, the foundation evolved into The Parodneck Foundation, continuing his legacy of self-help and mutual aid in community development.
Impact
By providing small grants, advice, and low-interest loans, The Parodneck Foundation combats housing abandonment and enhances living conditions in New York City neighborhoods.
