Initially focused on poetry, it has blossomed into one of the largest community-based literary centers in the nation, offering a diverse range of writing classes and workshops. The Muse is committed to accessibility, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder anyone from pursuing their passion for writing.
Serving tens of thousands of individuals in coastal Virginia and beyond, The Muse Writers Center has provided a vibrant community for writers of all levels. With over 261 classes and 433 literary events, the center has reached more than 8,200 community members, significantly expanding its outreach programs for youth and military families.
