The Metropolitan Basketball League, known as Metroball, has been a beacon of hope for over 600 youths annually in Washington D.C. since 2000. By offering after-school basketball skills camps and fitness programs, Metroball not only teaches sports but also instills values of teamwork and discipline. The annual New York Ave. Classic serves as a platform to unite the community and reduce violence through organized sports.
