The Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon (MHAAO) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting self-directed recovery and wellness. With a mission to honor the voice of lived experience, MHAAO provides essential peer support services to individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges in the greater Portland metropolitan area.

Impact

Through comprehensive peer support programs, MHAAO empowers individuals to set and achieve their recovery goals, offering help at no cost. The OPTIC training program also prepares new peer supporters to make a difference in their communities.
