Our Story
The Maryland School for the Deaf Foundation was established in 1987 to bridge the gap between dwindling public funding and the growing needs of deaf education. Founded by the MSD Board of Visitors, the Foundation raises essential funds to provide scholarships and resources that enrich the educational experience of students at the Maryland School for the Deaf.
Impact
During the 2018-2019 academic year, the Foundation supported over 50 students in attending leadership, sports, and special interest camps. Notably, it enabled an MSD Senior to travel to China with the International Orioles and facilitated the involvement of 11 pre-K students in a local theater production, showcasing the diverse opportunities available to students.
