Our Story
Established in 1983 by the First United Methodist Church in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles United Methodist Urban Foundation was created with a $2 million endowment to support community-based programs for children and young people. The foundation is dedicated to youth and young adult development, particularly through its impactful Kid City program.
Impact
The Urban Foundation has successfully supported over 350 low-income, first-generation students through its Kid City program, leading to more than 50 college graduates who are now giving back to their communities. With over $2 million awarded in grants, the foundation enhances youth services and educational opportunities in urban Los Angeles.
