Founded in 1990, The Leap Frog Program is an after-school tutoring and enrichment initiative designed for at-risk first, second, and third graders in the Oxford Public and Lafayette County schools. Inspired by a visit to a successful tutoring program in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Leap Frog has evolved to serve the local community through various partnerships and locations over the years.
Leap Frog serves 60 students each week, thanks to the generous support of the community. Since its inception as a local church mission project, the program remains free of charge for participants, making a lasting impact on literacy skills for generations to come.
