Our Story

Founded by Dr. Quinton Morris, a concert violinist and educator, Key to Change is dedicated to providing accessible music education to underserved youth in South King County. The organization aims to remove barriers to music education for students of color and those from low-income backgrounds, fostering a supportive community where students can thrive both musically and personally.

Impact

In the 2023-2024 school year, Key to Change awarded $45,000 in scholarships, with 90% of students receiving need- and/or merit-based support. The organization has facilitated student performances for notable figures such as First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, and has provided over $80,000 in musical instruments and accessories to students.
